What the P@SHA ICT Awards are
The P@SHA ICT Awards are run by P@SHA, the Pakistan Software Houses Association, the body that represents Pakistan’s IT industry. Startups, established companies and universities enter their products in front of industry juries, and the awards are the route for Pakistani tech products to compete at APICTA, the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards.
The 2026 edition was the 22nd. More than 1,380 entries were evaluated across 10 main categories and 41 sub and cross categories, with judging rounds held in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore before the awards night in Karachi on 22 September 2026.

The system behind the trophies
Hotels still run on walkie-talkies. Requests like "Housekeeping, 412 needs towels" exist only as long as the audio hangs in the air: no record, no routing, no accountability. QuickComm replaces that with voice AI. Staff keep talking exactly as before; the system listens, understands the request and sends it to the right person.
- 01HearPCM audio streams in from the radio channels in real time.
- 02TranscribeWhisper and Deepgram turn noisy radio speech into text at 94%+ accuracy.
- 03UnderstandA constrained Gemini LLM classifies the intent at ~88% precision into a strict schema.
- 04RouteThe task is pushed to the right team instantly, with SLA escalation and an audit trail.
I architected QuickComm and wrote the core voice pipeline, then led its move from a monolith to AWS microservices. In production, staff respond about 45% faster, throughput tripled after the migration, and infrastructure runs at roughly $3 a month per property.
One award to five in twelve months
This was our second year on that stage. In 2025 we won one award, for Scentix, a wearable fragrance device. In 2026 we won five, for QuickComm AI. One to five in twelve months.
We didn’t win because we used AI. Everyone uses AI now. We won because we picked a boring, real problem and fixed it all the way.
What comes next
P@SHA ICT Award winners and runners-up can go on to represent Pakistan at the APICTA Awards 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The lesson I took home applies well beyond hotels: look for the walkie-talkie in your industry, the old tool everyone complains about but nobody replaces.
