For an MVP or a focused product, yes, and it removes the hand-off gaps between front end and back end. For larger builds I lead the architecture and bring in engineers from my team at Quickgen.
Do I own the code?
Yes. You own the repository, the infrastructure and everything built, with documentation so any competent team can take it over.
